Description	Letter from Joseph A. De Laine, Sr. [Chairman, Parents' Committee on Action], please announce this in your church re public meeting, 13 Dec. 1949, at St. Mark [A.M.E.] Church, to discuss postponement of hearing against School District 22 (Clarendon County, S.C.); suspects school district will complete some work on Scott's Branch School Ground and fool the Negroes to give in claiming that they have done so much for the Negroes; [DeLaine's] handwritten note adds this was during the bitterest of the persecution when the school board had all the folks in authority in sympathy with them and De Laine received threats from KKK.
